Lipidica is a Czech company developing a blood test that measures fats in the blood to look for pancreatic cancer in people at high risk. The test is being checked in a clinical study and is not an approved screening test.
Lipidica, a.s. is based in Pardubice, Czech Republic. Its LDPC (Lipidomics Diagnostic of Pancreatic Cancer) test analyses the lipid profile of plasma, and the investigational in vitro diagnostic software Lipidica 1.0 processes the results. The clinical performance study NCT06549725 aims to show whether the software can tell people with pancreatic cancer from those without it, in people at high risk through family history, selected gene mutations or hereditary pancreatic disease, alongside endoscopic ultrasound, MRI or CT and CA 19-9 and CEA tests. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06549725, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in August 2024.
