A Chinese blood test that measures physical properties of blood rather than molecules; its developer has since turned to a different business, and the test's status is unclear.
In Xie et al. (Expert Review of Molecular Diagnostics 2022), the CDA test was evaluated in 75,942 people at routine health checks (48 cancers found) and 1,957 community members (10 cancers found), and was reported to separate healthy and cancer samples with more than 93% specificity and more than 55% sensitivity. AnPac Bio-Medical Science announced on 23 August 2021 that it had filed with China's NMPA for registration testing of a class III multi-cancer detection device covering 11 cancer types; no approval was found. A June 2023 SEC filing records the company's renaming to Fresh2 Group and a plan to move into an e-commerce food platform; whether the test is still offered could not be confirmed.
Measures several biophysical properties of a blood sample and compares them with patterns from people with and without cancer; it does not indicate an organ.
