ScreenCell makes filter kits that catch cancer cells circulating in a blood sample so they can be counted and studied. It is testing whether these cells help follow women after breast cancer.
ScreenCell SA, registered in Paris, France, makes ScreenCell kits, a patented label-free microfiltration technology that enriches circulating tumour cells (CTCs) and CTC clusters from whole blood, with kit versions for cytology, molecular biology and culture of viable cells. The company says it has produced CTC assays since 2010, has more than 70 scientific publications and is present in more than 30 countries. Its study NCT06807502 evaluates the relevance of CTCs isolated with the ScreenCell device in the follow-up of early and metastatic breast cancer. Its first registered cancer study as sponsor, NCT06807502, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in February 2025.
