Onchilles Pharma makes N17350, an enzyme-based treatment injected into tumours that is designed to kill cancer cells while sparing immune cells, so the body's own defences can then attack the cancer. It is in an early trial in people with advanced solid tumours in the US and Australia.
Onchilles Pharma, Inc., a private company in San Diego, California, co-founded by chief scientific officer Lev Becker, develops cytotoxic therapies built on what it calls the ELANE pathway, a cancer-selective killing mechanism linked to altered histone H1 biology in cancer cells. Its lead candidate N17350 (NEU-001) is a tumour-directed therapeutic elastase given by injection into the tumour; it is designed to cause immunogenic cancer cell death while preserving immune cells. The FDA cleared the IND on 2 February 2026, and the company announced the first patient dosed on 4 June 2026 in OP-NEU-101, a phase 1/2 open-label dose-finding and expansion study in advanced solid tumours at sites in the US and Australia; the registry lists triple-negative breast cancer, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma and head and neck cancers among the conditions. An intravenous counterpart, NEU-002, is in preclinical development. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07339176, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in January 2026.
