Designer of cleaner kinase inhibitors, bought by GSK in July 2026; zidesamtinib (ROS1) was approved that month, and neladalkib (ALK) is under FDA review.
Nuvalent, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and formerly listed as NUVL, designs kinase inhibitors that are cleaner than their predecessors. GSK completed its acquisition of Nuvalent on 15 July 2026, for an equity value of about 10.6 billion dollars, and the shares left Nasdaq. Zidesamtinib, its ROS1 inhibitor, was approved by the FDA in July 2026 as Jideytro for previously treated ROS1-positive disease, ahead of its September target date, and neladalkib, its ALK inhibitor, had a target decision date of 27 November 2026 when the deal was agreed. Neladalkib is being tested in the ALKOVE-1 trial and NVL-330, a HER2-selective programme, is in phase 1. OnCo links it to non-small-cell lung cancer and to the zidesamtinib and neladalkib drug records. Whether selectivity translates into fewer side effects and longer control than existing ROS1 and ALK drugs in routine use is the open question. Zidesamtinib has its own page.
