Shanghai Junshi Biosciences
Junshi developed toripalimab, the first Chinese PD-1 antibody approved in China (2018) and the first approved by the FDA (2023, nasopharyngeal cancer).

Overview
Toripalimab (Tuoyi / Loqtorzi) has more than ten NMPA indications, US approval for nasopharyngeal carcinoma with Coherus (licence February 2021, $150 million upfront), and EU, UK and Australian approvals. Pipeline: the BTLA antibody tifcemalimab, a PD-1 x VEGF bispecific and ADCs. Junshi also co-developed the COVID-19 antibody etesevimab with Lilly. In May 2026 China approved toripalimab with the antibody-drug conjugate disitamab vedotin as first treatment for locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma that expresses HER2, which Junshi says brings toripalimab to 13 approved indications in mainland China.
