Jecho is a drug developer working in the US and China whose cancer programmes include a virus-based treatment injected into recurrent brain tumours and a medicine for early bladder cancer. It also makes other biological medicines.
Jecho, whose website is published by Jecho Laboratories, Inc. and lists sites in Frederick, Maryland, Shanghai and Tianjin, was founded in 2013, according to the company, and describes three R&D centres, a preclinical animal facility and a pilot and manufacturing base, with a portfolio spanning monoclonal and bispecific antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, antibody radionuclide conjugates, fusion proteins, immunotoxins and oncolytic viruses. Its Chinese company Jecho Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. sponsors the registry trials: JL15003, given by a single intratumoural injection with viral shedding measured, completed a phase 1 study in recurrent glioblastoma (NCT07497373) and is in a phase 1b/2 trial (NCT07501559); JL19001 is in a phase 1/2 trial alone or with BCG in high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NCT07483970) and a phase 1 trial in advanced solid tumours or relapsed B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NCT07603479); and JLM019, given intravenously, is in a phase 1 trial in advanced solid tumours and lymphoma (NCT07623850). The sponsor also ran a phase 3 comparison of JL14002 with Lucentis in wet age-related macular degeneration (NCT07389577), which was not a cancer study. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT07483970, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in March 2026.
