Endocision makes a portable freezing probe used through a bronchoscope, the thin camera tube passed into the lungs, to take larger tissue samples and, in development, to destroy small lung tumours by freezing. Its biopsy system is cleared in the United States and Canada.
Endocision Technologies Inc., at 338 Saint-Antoine Street East, Montreal, Quebec, develops minimally invasive cryogenic tools for bronchoscopy; its president and chief medical officer is the thoracic surgeon Moishe Liberman. The company reports ISO 13485:2016 and MDSAP certification (July 2024), FDA clearance and Health Canada approval of a console-free portable cryocatheter system with first human cases in July 2026, and a global distribution agreement with Olympus for its respiratory cryobiopsy system (August 2026). Its registered study (NCT07104253), with the research centre of the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal, tests the feasibility of transbronchial cryoablation with an in-development cryoprobe in an ex vivo human lung model for lung cancer. Its first registered cancer study, NCT07104253, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in August 2025.
