CDR-Life develops T cell engagers, antibody-based medicines that bring the immune system's T cells into contact with cancer cells. Its cancer medicine CDR404 targets the MAGE-A4 protein and is in an early trial in solid tumours, now focusing on ovarian cancer.
CDR-Life AG, in Horgen near Zurich, Switzerland, was founded in 2017, according to the company. Its M-gager platform makes antibody-based T cell engagers for cancer and autoimmune disease. CDR404 is a bivalent, bispecific T cell engager against MAGE-A4 in HLA-A*02:01 patients; the FDA cleared its IND in January 2024, enrolment in the phase 1 trial (NCT06402201) began in May 2024 and the first patient was dosed by September 2024. In October 2025 the company reported pharmacodynamic activity in MAGE-A4-positive solid tumours and said the trial would focus on MAGE-A4-positive ovarian cancers. Other programmes include CDR609 against LGR5, and a Boehringer Ingelheim partnership in geographic atrophy and autoimmune disease, including a November 2025 global licence for CDR111 with up to CHF 456 million in payments. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06402201, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in May 2024.
