ARCE Therapeutics makes CAR-T cell therapy, in which a patient's own immune cells are re-engineered to attack cancer. Its first product, ARD103, is in an early trial in the United States for acute myeloid leukaemia and myelodysplastic syndrome that has come back or not responded to treatment.
ARCE Therapeutics, Inc. (承寶生技股份有限公司), based in Neihu District, Taipei, Taiwan, was founded on 3 February 2020 by Ray Chen and Chien-Tsun Kuan, according to the company. It develops CAR-T and CAR-NK cell therapies on three in-house platforms: DashCAR for fast autologous manufacturing, MaxCAR for potency and OneCAR for off-the-shelf allogeneic products. The lead product ARD103 is an autologous CAR-T targeting CLL-1, a protein on myeloid blasts and leukaemia stem cells that the company says is absent from normal blood stem cells; the US FDA cleared its IND for a phase 1/2 study in relapsed or refractory AML and MDS in October 2024, and the company reported the first patient treated in the United States in June 2025 and an FDA orphan drug designation in November 2024. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06680752, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in November 2024. The company describes itself as privately held.
