Advesya develops treatments aimed at IL-1RAP, a protein found on leukaemia cells. Its lead treatment, a CAR-T therapy made from the patient's own immune cells, is being tested in acute myeloid leukaemia that has come back or not responded.
Advesya is a French and Swiss clinical-stage biotech company founded in 2020, according to the company, as a spin-out from the French Blood Institute (EFS) in Besançon by Christophe Ferrand and Marina Deschamps, and seeded by Jeito in 2022. Its work targets IL-1RAP, an antigen it describes as upregulated in several cancers and autoimmune conditions. CCTx-001 is an IL-1RAP-directed autologous CAR-T therapy built from CD8 and CD4 T cells, assessed in a phase 1/2 adaptive trial in relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukaemia (NCT06281847) with sites listed in France, Germany, Spain and Sweden. ADV-101 is a first-in-class ADC made of a humanised IgG1 anti-IL-1RAP antibody carrying a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload through a cleavable linker. Its first registered cancer trial, NCT06281847, was posted on ClinicalTrials.gov in February 2024.
