On 3 August 2026 Lantheus agreed to be acquired by Curium for 102.50 dollars a share in cash plus a contingent value right of up to 12 dollars; stockholders approved the merger on 14 October 2026, the US Federal Trade Commission issued a second request on 21 October, and the companies expect to close in the first half of 2027. Whether an imaging leader can become a therapy company after SPLASH is the open question.
